Rates 2026

Our hourly rate is public.

People often ask what we cost. Here's the answer, no request for proposal needed. Anything not listed below, we work out in a short conversation.

01 · Hourly rate

€50
/ hour · net · 2026

2026 at 2025 prices — our rate hasn't changed.

This is the rate for ad-hoc work without a retainer. We've built software since 2015 and AI solutions since 2021. Proper invoices and a contract under Hungarian or EU law.

For larger or longer engagements, the Ongoing and Premium monthly plans come in 5–10% below the ad-hoc hourly rate.

This is one rate across UI, backend, operations, and AI work. There's no separate surcharge per specialty.

02 · Market benchmark

Where we sit in the market.

The market shapes what an engineering hour is worth. We price within the Hungarian-firm band.

Freelancers
€30 – €40
Hungarian firms
€40 – €60
We're here
Agencies
€55 – €75
EU freelancers
€30 – €80 (Toptal etc.)
Multinationals
€70 – €100

The EU freelance band reflects typical rates on international platforms such as Toptal (€30–80/h). Going abroad isn't necessarily cheaper.

03 · Monthly plans

Ongoing engagement, lower hourly rate.

Longer engagements come with a lower hourly rate, and the plans cover operations too (monitoring, incident response, a predictable release schedule).

FAQ

What we get asked.

VAT?
All prices net. Hungarian clients: 27% VAT on top. EU B2B: reverse-charge.
Do you work fixed-price?
Yes, on a clearly scoped project. First we spend 20–40 hours mapping the work, so we know what we're signing. That time is billed hourly, because quoting a fixed price without it wouldn't be fair.
Open-source discount?
Yes — if the repo is public and our work is published as part of it: 20% off the applicable plan.
What if the system goes down outside business hours?
Monitoring runs continuously, and we handle alerts during business hours on weekdays. If your system needs out-of-hours cover, we agree it in a custom SLA: response time, availability, and fees. The Base plan doesn't include incident response.
I can get it cheaper elsewhere.
Possibly. But many developers don't operate what they build, so when something fails you're looking at a new contract, a new team, and another ramp-up. With us the same team builds and operates, so the total cost of ownership can come out lower. See why we run what we build (in Hungarian).
