Tacho561 — tachograph assistant and fleet manager
Driver mobile app, dispatcher web portal and cloud backend for hauliers: driving-time tracking, Bluetooth tachograph download, digital driver log and CMR, in line with AETR and Regulation (EC) 561/2006.
The problem
The most common question at haulage companies is “how much longer can I drive?”. One or two experts can't answer every driver, and paper driver logs and CMRs are slow and easy to alter after the fact.
The project
The Tacho561 team has spent years providing assistance services to haulage companies. Building on their domain knowledge, we developed the full software package: the driver’s mobile app, the web-based fleet manager for the dispatch office, the cloud backend behind them, and the product’s multilingual website.
For drivers and dispatchers
Drivers see on their phone how much driving and rest time they have left, and the app warns them ahead of their next mandatory break. They download tachograph data over Bluetooth without any extra hardware, so the 28-day download obligation takes a few minutes. On a tablet, the 28-day timeline, driver status and all warnings fit in one view.
Dispatchers manage jobs and the fleet in the web portal. Driver, vehicle and company data only need to be entered once: the odometer reading comes from the tachograph and stop locations from GPS, straight into the driver log and the CMR.
Verifiable records
Every change to the driver log and CMR is timestamped and verified on a blockchain, so it can’t be rewritten later. After an accident or cargo damage, drivers take photos tagged with GPS coordinates and a timestamp. All data and photos are stored in the cloud for one year, in line with EU inspection rules.
Where it stands
Tacho561 is currently in beta, running as an Early Access programme, and we keep developing it based on user feedback. We operate the app and the backend.
